About Luteal

An independent app to track your period and understand your menstrual cycle, built to respect your data.

What Luteal is

Luteal is a period and menstrual cycle tracking app for iPhone and Android. It connects your periods, the four phases of your cycle (menstruation, follicular, ovulation, luteal), your mood and your symptoms, so the ups and downs become easier to anticipate.

You can choose to share your phase and mood with your partner. Sharing is off until you send an invite, and you can revoke it at any time.

Luteal is free to download, with an optional Premium subscription.

Who is behind Luteal

Luteal is designed and developed independently by Riad Mahi. There is no advertising in the app: its business model is the optional Premium subscription, not ads and not your data.

Our commitments on your data

  • No ads, ever, and your health data is never sold or used for advertising.
  • Data stored on Google Cloud (Firebase, EU region), encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Your partner only sees what you choose to share.
  • Delete your account from the app at any time: your data is permanently erased within 30 days.

Editorial policy

  • Blog articles are written by the Luteal team. They explain published guidance from recognized health organizations (NHS, ACOG, womenshealth.gov, Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medicine) and peer-reviewed research, listed in a sources section at the end of each article.
  • Every article shows its publication date and is updated when the guidance changes.
  • Articles are not written by doctors and are for information only: they do not replace a consultation with a healthcare professional. See a doctor or midwife for heavy or unusual bleeding, severe pain, a missed period or any concern.
  • Luteal does not diagnose any condition and is not a method of contraception. Its ovulation and period predictions are estimates.
  • Spotted an error? Write to hello@luteal.fr: we correct it and update the article date.
